Matthew 7:15: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
The Lord Jesus Christ gave above instruction by himself. So it’s worth taken very seriously.
The most salient point here is the word ” Beware”. In other word Jesus was saying never claim ignorant that you don’t know there are false prophets around.
So please take caution!
In recent times, the number of professional beggars disguising as prophets are on the increase. All they are out for is to Minister to your pockets. The economic situation has made many jobless individuals with no divine calling trying hard to find succour in Ministry by disguising as Apostles and Prophets to make ends meet. Please be careful!!!
They see nothing, they hear nothing from heaven’s throne. They are merely manipulators!
One Prophet was praying for me one day. He asked of my pregnant wife whereas I was not married let alone had a pregnant wife at home!
Many peaceful relationships has been manipulated by series of false prophecies. Many great ideas has been subverted by falsehood. Imagine, how do you tell a man who has no passport that WITHOUT visa, he will be in America from Nigeria? or how do you prophecy to a student who never created time to sit and study that he will come top in the exams? It’s all laughable.
I hope those days come again, when prophets are so heavenly conscious that they will first ask God whether to accept a gift or not before collecting same. The case is different now, they practically beg, oh sorry, in fact ask directly for it.
There are still genuine prophets, no doubt and we know them by their fruits.
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Genuine prophets are firstly compassionate and to a large extent givers. They don’t ever place their mind on what you can do for them that is pecuniary. You need them more than they need you. Unfortunately, those genuine prophets are the one’s we take for granted and they live in our midst unnoticed and unrecognized except by divine providence. God bless you if your seeds find their ways into their hands. They are everly fertile ground. Saul’s one-time encounter with Prophet Samuel brought a once errand man to the throne beyond his widest imagination.
1 Samuel 10:9 “And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.”
Yes…those signs came to pass in one day!!! How many signs has come to pass since you know “this your prophet?”.
Genuine prophets will add value to you but false prophets will devalue you. It’s high time you appraise every relationship around your life whether is value added or not. Do not be caught in the web of users.
I’m not against giving to men of God and sowing of faith seeds but it’s just that no seed is profitable in the hand of a manipulator who disguises as a Prophet. They are wolves. Please be warned!
The way of a manipulator is already hard…so also the seeds put in his hands for your advancement.
Proverbs 13:15
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
One of the earliest scripture that revealed God’s love to me while growing up was ” For God SO LOVE the world that He GAVE…John 3:16.
I still don’t understand the rational behind your own prophet whose only way to show he loves and cares about you is to COLLECT and keep collecting without adding any value to you in any way.
Please let me help your understanding with two more scriptures:
Ezekiel 22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
22:28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
They are wolves. Please be warned!!!
